Would you like three-months of FREE commuting? If you currently drive alone to work, the ABC TMA will provide you with three-months of FREE* transit on any MBTA express bus, commuter boat, or private bus carrier. Don't know where the nearest station or dock is? We can provide you with detailed commuter information letting you know exactly when and where you can catch the bus or boat.
What happens after three months?
After receiving your three months of free* transit in the Express Yourself program, participants may continue to receive a discount on their monthly transit through their employers transit pass subsidy program. To find out if your employer offers a transit pass subsidy please contact the ABC TMA at 617-502-6246.
If your employer does not offer a transit pass subsidy the ABC TMA will provide you with an additional step down incentive for a fourth and fifth month.
How Does It Work?
All participants in the Express Yourself program must agree to not drive alone into work during participation in the program. In some cases participants may be required to turn in their monthly parking pass to their employer in order to receive the free transit for three months.
Once in the program participants will receive a Commuter Check each month from the ABC TMA. The commuter checks can be used to purchase monthly fare media for the MBTA express buses and boats as well as on private bus operators. The amount of the incentive is up to $100.00 per month*, for a total of three months per participant.
Who Is Eligible?
Any employee or tenant of an ABC TMA member company, and who is currently driving alone one day a week or more, is eligible to join.
Worried you will need your car in case of an emergency or overtime?
When you register in the Express Yourself program you will be eligible to receive a free ride home in case of an emergency or unscheduled overtime through the ABC TMA's Guaranteed Ride Home program. No more having to worry about the school calling you to pick up a sick child or having to wait for the midnight train after working late to finish your boss's report.
