10/27/08 South Station Commuter Rail Schedule Changes
On Monday October 27, 2008, new schedules will go into effect on the Franklin, Middleborough/Lakeville, Greenbush, Worcester, Needham and Providence line.  These changes affect weekday services only; there are no changes to weekend schedules.

Commuting by bike Spring through Fall may seem like a cake-walk compared to cold weather riding!  Never fear, MassBike is here to equip you with all the tips and tricks you need to be a confidant, well-insulated and happy bike commuter this winter.  Please join us for an hour long session Wednesday, October 29th from 12pm-1:30pm

MBTA Parking Rates on the Rise!
Effective November 15, 2008, parking rates at all MBTA commuter parking facilities will increase by $2.00.  In addition to this rate adjustment, parking fees will now be enforced 7 days a week at all MBTA commuter parking facilities and the penalty for non-payment will increase by $0.25 to $1.00/violation.

Afternoon Spin With Urban Adventours
Interested in taking a guided tour around Beantown by bike?  ABC TMA has teamed up with Urban Adventours to host an after work ride departing 5:45pm on Thursday, September 11th from thedowtown area. 

We will take an hour and half tour around the city and meet back at our departure location. 

No worries if you don't have a bicycle; bikes and helments will be available for rent at $25.00.

Space is limited. Departure location will be provided upon RSVP.

Pedestrian 101 Brown Bag Lunch Course With Walk Boston
Curious to know more about the features that constitute a walkable environment?  Want to know how you can make your workplace more walking-friendly?   We invite you to attend WalkBoston's Ped Advocacy 101 course.

Sometimes achieving a solution is as easy as knowing the right person to call. This presentation provides you with effective techniques for pedestrian advocacy initiatives at the community level. Many of the changes can be achieved at minimal cost and within a short time period.
